EAP Overview For Employers

Employers have learned that EAPs improve

morale, productivity and save money. The

return on investment can range from 2:1 to 7:1

and costs generally range from 1-2% of your

annual health care premium.

Employees by using the EAP have learned that ignoring personal problems causes losses - loss of jobs, loss of self-esteem, loss of marriages, and even loss of life.  Addressing, resolving and coping with personal problems enhance both mental and physical well-being.

EAP Access
An employee or family member can access the system via a 1-800 number, 365 days a year, 7 days a week. The phone is always answered by a counselor. Our EAP is one of a select few in the country that offers immediate access to a counselor 24/7, 365 days a year.  There is unlimited access to telephone consultation and counseling.

Short-term counseling is available to resolve problems of daily living. Help for virtually all personal problems is available through the EAP. Some of the more common concerns include:

Consulting on Job Performance Issues
Available through the EAP are consultant services with managers and supervisors on job performance issues. When your managers and supervisors call and consult with an EAP professional the EAP consultant can:

Supervisory Training Sessions
Training for supervisors and managers on how to recognize performance problems, document, plan, confront, and refer a problem employee to the EAP is an important part of the program.
